I always thought Merc took more of a role in the cloning of that car. I find it hard to believe that RP could have built that car simply by looking at photos of last year’s Merc.

Well, the brake ducts in question were bought from Mercedes and delivered this year. With RP buying their suspension and drive train from Merc, it’s very much doable that some basic CAD files were also purchased

I wonder if it goes beyond “basic CAD files.” It benefits Merc to have more of their engines at the front. Isn’t RP basically a Merc junior team anyway?
